I choose to hinge the rear lid at the front, so I still have good acces to the luggage space. Problem is, the lid can't open because it is wider than the space between the fixed sail panels. A GTO has a ridge around the opening so the actual lid is smaller but that is hard to replicate. I had to develope a hinge system with double hinges each side. Took a lot of trial and error before I got it to work. Look at the youtube videos to see how it works. That piece of paper in the engine compartment is a sign of things to come.

I bought a damaged front hood grille from a 328 off ebay, to make a GTO style front hood. The 328 grille has wider spacing than the grilles behind the popup lights and 6 instead of 5 slats, so I had to make new sides for it. Glued an alu frame underneath the lid before cutting, I can't weld aluminium.

Made a new trunk floor, put in anti-drone mat and some temporary carpet because it will be used and will get dirty during the build.
