Separating the engine from the sump/gearbox, removing the crank, pistons and liners.

These arrived, Ford Explorer 5.0 throttle bodies, a guy in the U.S. sells these on Ebay sandblasted and powdercoated.

I had the crank cleaned, measured, magnafluxed and polished, everything was OK and within spec for standard bearings. Flywheel resurfaced.

These grooves are were the oilseals run. I will put in the new oilseals with a spacer so they ride at different spots.

Who ever said Hammerite is only good for garden fences, is a snob.

Parts are arriving all the time.

The wire posts from the starter solenoid broke off when I removed the wires, superformance sell new solenoids for a reasonable price so I just bought a new one.
