Standard:

Standard refers to the actual and natural colour of a Bearded Dragon. These normal colours are mostly brown / gray en around the eyes and/or beard some other colours (red/yellow) may show.










Gold:

A golden Bearded Dragon reflects a yellow colour all over his body. The yellow colour varies from citron to gold.










Red:

A red Bearded Dragon is primarily seen in their natural habitat. A total red dragon is quite rare, quite often they only have a red head. The price of a red Bearded Dragon increases with the amount of red.










Red/Gold:

Hybrid Red and Gold bearded dragons.














Yellow:

A red Bearded Dragon is primarily seen in their natural habitat (depending on the sand on witch the live). He shows yellow colours with a green pattern.










Sunburst:

This is a very bright yellow Bearded Dragon with orange red patterns.










Blood:

This is a very bright red Bearded Dragon bread by den Herp.










Ember Jemfire:

A red Bearded Dragon of the jemfire colours coming from Sapphire Dragon Ranch.










Sandfire:

The sandfire dragonranchhas successfully bread this Bearded Dragon using red-golds. A sandfire is orange all around his entire body. In the Netherlands there are a lot of fake sandfires for sale, so pay attention to the parents since their young ones look like standard Bearded Dragons.










Pastel:

A pastel coloured Bearded Dragon misses the black pigment, which one can see by looking at their toenails.













Snow en hypomelanistic:

Snow and Hypomelanistic are Bearded Dragons missing the black pigment as well, which means white all around with gray patterns. There are also Hyopomelantistic’s with other base colours such as yellow, green of orange. Note this is not an Albino.










Leucistic:

Here is another bearded dragon, missing the black pigment looking kind of white. Note this is not an Albino.










Albino:

This is a rather new colour amongst Bearded Dragons, so not yet available in the Netherlands.










German giant:

De biggest Pogona’s available on the market, quite often very strong animals with a large variety in colours.










Tigerfase:

Named after his “tiger” pattern on his back.











Colours of their eyes:

Bearded dragons most common eye colour is orange however some other colours do exist such as Golden Iris and Silver Iris.










It is obvious that next to the variety of Dragons named discussed above hybrids of all kind are possible. At all times, take a good look at the parents en ask other dragon owners for breeder references and experiences to prevent deception. A number of breeders are linked into this page.
