Reviews
Concrete Smiles At Aisle Five:

Dowzer is a 3-headed punkrock band from Roosendaal in the Netherlands. Their sound goes back to the mid nineties when skatepunk and skapunk was very popular. So ‘Concrete Smiles At Aisle Five’ offers you a nice collection of poppy skatepunk, sing along punkrock and skapunk songs. I’ve grown a bit out of this sound but to be honest I enjoyed listening to their debut record. Its not the best I’ve heard but it is certainly good stuff. The album swings, has some catchy riffs and the band has some things to say. I specially like their message in alibi.
Out Of Step = score 7/10

Their mix of skapunk, skatepunk and poppunk sounds too sweet and not catchy enough but I can tell you this trio has musical talent! When they work a bit more on their songs they can compete with bands like The Real Danger
Punx.nl = score 61/100

This rocks! Not in a 'Guns&Roses bandana wearing, look at me i'm cool' way, but in a 'normal, we come from Roosendaal and we don't give a fuck about what you think' way. A great achievement for a band that started one year ago. With their tight basslines, no
bullshit drumming, loud guitars and singing harmonies Dowzer makes Concrete Smiles... a swinging album
Poprock.nl = score 70/100

This band from Roosendaal makes swinging punkrock/poppunk and they sound really professional too! Their debut album with catchy guitarriffs, ska influences and singing harmonies is filled with energy. Let's hope they are going to play a lot of shows and make another
awesome record!
Upmagazine = score 80/100 published in magazine, not online

If you want fast and hard punkrock with tight riffs, you should give Dowzer a listen. These youngsters aren't there yet (they started a year ago), but they've got the talent to get there! I'm curious about their live shows. I recommend this band to everybody!
Bobby In A Volvo = score 3,5/5 stars

Dowzer brings their punkrock in a traditional way: the singing harmonies, ska parts, the lead vocals and the hidden track remind me of NOFX and Descendents. But this band knows how this music has to be and they really convince me with their 13 songs!
Livexs (Live XS ezine) = no score

Dowzer rocks from the start, no long intro's, just solid punkrock. The second song has ska influences and the following songs on their debut all bring new influences and that makes Concrete Smiles a record with variety. It sounds proffessional and the songs are really figured out. The guys and girl from Dowzer put a really tight debut on the map, I hope it's just as tight on stage!
West-point (West-Point ezine and published in local papers) = no score
