So, just a few days and 2010 is done! We'd like you to know what happened in
this pretty awesome year.
In the beginning of the year we finished
recording
our second full length 'Not as plant' at Studio 195 with Patrick Delabie. Send
quite some cd's to magazines and webzines and got some amazing reviews in return
(Up Magazine,
Oor, Collective E-zine and many others). Send quite some cd's to Waterslide
Records, didn't know Japanese kids would like us, awesome! Played our release
show in Tilburg with two really cool bands: The Octopussy's and Long Way Down.
Jeff played some new songs off 'Not as plant' on
Needle Drop Radio
which is so cool!
We also put our
first full length online for free because of Kazu selling it out in Japan,
so call us sell-outs if you want, you could also shut up and download our old
record haha
Further on we did our first tour across the sea, and then I mean the UK,
together with the really friendly and superb skapunkband Overweight and the
crazy as hell The Junk! A lot of thanks to Paul and his parents for everything
and also a big thanks to every village idiot we've met. Without them no video
footage that's
YouTube-worthy!
And we did some more shows all worth mentioning but some favourites here:
* Halsteren show with Dysfunctional Kid: amazing band, friendly guys and an
amazing crowd what we didn't expect at all!
* Leuven show with Mike TV, FTF and Another Effort: what a venue! Mike TV
rocking the place even without electricity!
* Leuven show with New Pokerface: Best Dowzer show according to Thibaut! Thibaut
drunk as hell according to Deny haha. NPF is a solid band!
* Sexbierum show with Sparky's Revenge and Maybee: This show ended up using
ironing boards which is always cool! Playing Friesland rocks!
* Etten-Leur show: First neighbourhood show in a long time and even won the
contest! Look up our new
bandpics and interview in
the paper!
So actually every show and every band we played with and everything that
happened in 2010 was awesome in one way or another!

Good times!
Last friday we played a contest in Etten-Leur,
that's pretty near our hometowns, so friends and relatives
that showed up: thank you!
We went to the show to play for friends, play some new
songs and hoping everyone would enjoy the show. It
ended up us winning the contest! Awesome stuff! Didn't saw
that coming at all!
So now we're playing the Westpoint Fest in December,
we're getting a photo shoot and an interview in the newspaper!
note: the festival is het day after Sandra's birthday
so you better bring presents! (if you like...)

(yeah the exact opposite site of the country :D)

so what happened and what will happen...
THIS HAPPENED:
- went on UK tour with Overweight and The Junk and was incredible! Thank you
Overweight, The Junk and the Perity's!
- two new movies on our youtube so you can watch us having a good time in the UK
- had an awesome show in Halsteren! We didn't expect so much people liked us!
also first show with Dysfunctional Kid which is an awesome band!
- also had our first show on a truck at our 'repetitiekot!' which wasn't really
crowded but oh well nice show
- had a great show at a big ass squat in Belgium with poppunk heroes Mike TV
together with fine bands Face the fax and Another Effort
- and again a show with Overweight and The Junk in the french-speaking area in
Belgium! Couldn't understand a word everyone said but awesome!
THIS WILL HAPPEN/WE WANT TO HAPPEN/HELP US LET THIS HAPPEN/.. you know what i
mean:
- we need SHOWS! help us! there's no scene, promoter or anything here! really!
mail us!
- we're already writing new songs! even play one/some live at the upcoming
shows!
- maybe some new merch if you are interested? badges, shirts, action figures
that can say 3 sentences... request it and we'll think it over!
- uhm... yeah help us with shows!

1. we received some kick ass reviews of Not as plant!

RELEASE SHOW DATE + LINE UP CHANGED!
Due some circumstances we had to change the date to the 20th
Dysfunctional Kid couldn't make it that day... so they won't play at our show
we owe them a show though!
The Octopussy's are the worthy replacements!
Check one of Belgium's best melodic punkbands out at our show!
Ow and we've got cd's now and they look great!
And they sound great too hehe...

Hey Everyone!
This website really needs some freshing up! Just visit our

Yes, blame me for the lack of updating this website...
but now it's all up to date and i've got some news for you!
first the bad news: we had to cancel our gig at Popelucht because Sandra bruised
her hand pretty badly.
good news: not too badly so we will play Leuven tomorrow! (good for us it's a
pretty short set)
other good news (shows):
- tomorrow our 'first club/venue' show in Belgium in Leuven with Bedtime for
Charlie + State of Mine
- october 10th we're playing at Hoefslag for the second time all with cool
punkrock bands
- from october 29th to november 1st we're touring with The Junk (skacore from
UK) and most of the dates with Overweight (skapunk from Belgium)!
- WE NEED HELP FOR OCTOBER 31st SO HELP US!!!
other other good news:
this december we will record our next record (we're not going to tell you the
title yet!) but expect more developped songs with a sort of 'Dowzer sound':
expect lots of vocal harmonies, basslines that guitar hero experts aren't able
to play with their 4 button joystick guitars, cool punkdrumming with influences
like ska, surf, callipso.. name it!,
and some guitarsolo's to fill it all up... and... and... ah just wait and listen
(or visit our shows cause 70% of our live set are NEW SONGS!)
Also some 'cool' news:
Concrete smiles.. is now available through
Waterslide Records in Japan! So
if you're Japanese or well.. living closer to Japan than Holland you can order
our cd there!
New gig in September in Belgium! Writing new songs all summer!

So i don't update this site so much cause uhm..
myspace is so easy... but we won't forget the 'real' official website!

And what happened these last weeks/months...
We had a show at the Little Devil with our Belgian buddies from The Octopussy's
and State of Mine. It was fun, shame just a few people showed up.
We also had a radio interview in Roosendaal with Patrick Sandman and Robin Looy
and it was pretty cool,
Robin also made some new promopics you can see on our... yeah.. myspace.
On may 22nd our German friends The Coconut Butts visited my place first and then
we headed off to Dordrecht to play
a show also with Gino's Eyeball. Yet again, fun as hell... but almost nobody
showed up...
Maybe it's a curse here or everybody likes staying at home and watch bands live
on youtube or something...
well, we just hope there will be more crowd then there are people on stage (more
than 3 people is do-able right?)
and hope those few people like our sound.
So summer is on it's way and mostly that means... summerbreaks, vacation...
pretty boring stuff for the band haha
but we're on Dijkfest on the 1st of August and after summerbreak we're on
Popelucht! That's our local musicfestival.
And we're always busy writing new songs, and when we wrote enough songs we're in
for our next record!
(and let me tell you we are already over 50% of completing the next album :D )
Well... keep your eyes on myspace and check this site once a month or so!
O yeah! Our CD is 7 euro's now instead of 10!

Hey Everyone!
First a surprise on friday, the day before we went to Germany.
One of the bands that was playing DMV at Etten-Leur called if off.
The guys from Popel called us to fill in!
Last minute gig, audience was great, people from Popel were awesome.
Yeah awesome... and then we got ready for Germany
So we went to Germany and it was sooooo awesome!
Big ass venue, more than 500 people audience and great bands/friends!

Last thursday we were the support for Streetlight Manifesto in Bibelot,
Dordrecht.
Also really awesome! Great venue, we played a good show and the audience seemed
to like it :)
Yup... this sunday we'll be playing in Tilburg with our Belgian buddies so be
there!
And to be really honest, check our myspace for real up to date stuff!
(that's just less work for me and uhm... yeah i'm just lazy)

In 2 weeks we're heading off to Germany to play at Kreative Köpfe with the

Hey Everyone!
Some cool news for you guys!
Last gig was B-Stage at De Kleine Zaal in 013, Tilburg!
Awesome! Great Sound! Food & Drinks! Cool compliments from the crowd!
Again awesome! So this B-Stage thing was sort of a contest and we didn't
make it to the next round, but hey we played 013!
We also visited Local FM for an interview and some airplay
for a bunch of songs of 'Concrete Smiles..'
I could put it on internet, but it's 80MB and uncut and blabla
for the ones that really want to hear it, i could mail it to you
But it was pretty cool, we told 'our story' about forming Dowzer and stuff
So march 21st will be the first international gig for us ever!
The cool guys from The Coconut Butts invited us to play a show
in Germany! Yeah and again (again?, yeah again!) awesome!
And if that wasn't enough, we're the support for Streetlight Manifesto!
It's their only Dutch show and it's also one of our favourite bands
(actually I think it's Rik's alltime favourite band!)
so that is really really, really f*ckin awesome!
And and and! Sunday april 12th will be visiting the Little Devil for
the second time! Supporting The Octopussy's + State Of Mine.
Two Belgian bands who will release their split pretty soon.
Free entrance so be there!
And and and.... yeah that was it!

Hey Everyone!
So we had some gigs:
Den haag, Paard van Troje Café
That was us + faint lights + faint lights fans + bar crew
but still cool to play there, and someone made a movie clip of a new song!
(check media!)
Dronten, Nirwana 2 hour drive, great pizzaplace, cool venue, cool show
some drunk guy jumped and danced and shouted in front of our faces, that was
pretty funny,
after our show the police came and arrested the guy, not so funny...
People from Sidekickbob fuckin funny! Nice people and Arno is a real comedian.
He filmed us+the drunk guy, we'll receive the movieclip sometime.
Breda, Mezz Nice show and uhm... yeah just a nice show, played a new song,
So... this january (wednesday 28th) we're playing B-Stage! We're selected out of
a bunch bands..
Awesome, and it's in Kleine Zaal or Batcave in 013, Tilburg!

Last saturday we played at the Time Out, opening for The Apers!
It was a cool show and The Apers rocked!

New shows! Yeah, we are finally getting things done...
first friday october 31th at Hoefslagfestival!
the week after that we're playing at the Rambler being the support for Mike TV (English
poppunks, fuckin cool) and The Headlines (swedish punks with sax, mandolins and
stuff!)
Then we've got a show in Den Haag november 19th, more info about that soon
and last... december 16th in the Mezz café
