Hold papers together, that was the purpose of the inventor of the paperclip. You can find the iron wire on all offices. The user have inconsistent the use of the paperclip. The paperclip is a saving when you lost u button, you can use it for a bookmark and it is a alternative for a hook where you can hang up a painting on the wall.
In the end of the nineteen century different inventers have rounded there back about development a recycling of a paper clamp. Most people are seeing Nor Johan Vaaler as the inventor of the paperclip. People have doubts about the truth of it.
A farmer son, born in 1866, have dune many studies. Electronic and Mathematics where part of it. Non of this studies he have finished. In 1892 he was employed by a Norse businessmen who has business in patents. On that time Norway doesn’t has a patent agency. Vaaler was on the right please fore a patent.
On November the 12the 1899 he cat his patent in Germany for his clamp from iron wire, fold on to ten different way’s. The paperclip from Vaaler has one corner fewer than the modern paperclip. The disadvantage of this is that the end of the wire harm the paper. An other disadvantage is that the clips hook and made a chain together.
Vaaler was a dedicated assistant fore Byrns. In the period from nein months when his boss was ill, he takes care of his business. Byrns wrote in his testament that after his dead one third of the business was for Vaaler. It wends otherwise. Vaaler dyad in 1910 after a long sickbed on a age of 44. Byrns dyad 27 year later.
Legality
By circumstances Vaaler has never done something with his invention. He doesn’t
have the machinery to take the clip in production and bring it on the market.
Ten year later when a clerk was cleaning up the office he find a drawing from
Vaaler. The patent has no legality anymore.
Around 1900 there are many requisition about a patent for the paperclip in America. These paperclips looks ferry much on the paperclip from Vaaler. In 1900 receives Cornelius J. Brosnan Americans patent op de Konaclip. A British Compagnie Gem Manufacturing made fore the first time a paperclip that exist of two ovals, the owleye. This Compagnie have never apply a patent fore the Gem-clip but they have a patent fore the machine where he’s made with. They get this patent five day’s before Vaaler gets his patent on 7 November 1899 in Germany.
Everyone seas Vaaler as the inventor of the paperclip. Vaaler was earlier ferry bustle with designing from the paperclip.
Symbol
The paperclip is not only a object to use but also a symbol. During the second
World Ware the Norg people warring a paperclip on the reverse to show everybody
that they connected with there Home and to another. The meaning of this was
clear, also for the German. Bearers of a paperclip where immediate arrested.
Since 1989 you can sea and feel a gigantic paperclip with a high from six meter and a weight from 600 kilo. This shows the relationship witch have the Norg with the paperclip.
The paperclip is so ordinary that everyone use it as there logo. A very known use is the paperclip in Office Assistant from Microsofts software since Office 97.
