Henri Ruizenaar (Delft 1948) got fascinated by writer of children's-books and colleague Lewis Carroll during his mathematics studies at Leiden University, The Netherlands. Ruizenaar has been a collector of books by and about Lewis Carroll since 1968.

He used his sabbatical leave to search for Lewis-Carroll books in different continents and to work on his own Dutch translation of The Hunting Of The Snark. Henri Ruizenaar owns one of the largest Lewis Carroll collections in the Netherlands
