| Bring back the past by generating abstract pop-artsy or psychedelically colored background patterns fit for scrapbooking, stationery, and webpages. These nine quick and easy scripts generate 1200x1200 pixel (or slightly less) 200ppi abstract retro backgrounds to fit a 12x12" canvas. The patterns are seamless. | Beginner Instructions For a detailed absolute beginner tutorial, see Using Scripts 1. These scripts are zipped up in a package containing all nine. Double-click with the left mouse button on the zipfile to start the unzip dialog. Unzip the scripts to your Scripts-Restricted folder. 2. Start Paint Shop Pro. 3. File, Script, Run will let you pick a script to run. You can also scroll down to the script in the Script toolbar: View, Toolbars, Script will place the Script toolbar on your workspace. 4. Whenever the script asks you if you want to keep the default color or choose your own fill material, you can pick a color, gradient or pattern from the Materials Palette the script presents to you. In some cases a script will only allow a color. 5. When the script is finished, you have a seamless fill pattern for a bigger image. With File, New, create a new image in the size that you need, like Width 12 inches, Height 12 inches. The resolution is still at 200, which is fine. 6. Is your Materials Palette visible? If not, click View, Palettes, Materials to have it show up on your workspace. 7. Click on the Flood Fill tool in the Tools toolbar; it has a bucket icon. If the Tools toolbar is not on your workspace, click View, Toolbars, Tools. 8. Click in the topmost material swatch in the Materials Palette. A new window comes up with three tabs: choose the Pattern tab. Click on the material preview to find the pattern you just created with the script, and click OK. 9.
