| You can save the image with screenshots above for learning purposes. The steps in words: Open a new image big enough to hold your star. In the Tools Toolbar select the Symmetric Shape Tool, which is in the flyout menu along with Preset Shape, Rectangle and Ellipse. Use the settings in the image above in the Tool Options Palette (View, Palettes, Tool Options). Click and hold the left mouse button on your image to drag out the size of your star. The stroke and the fill of your star can be changed afterwards: Click on the + before the vector layer in the Layers Palette (View, Palettes, Layers). Right-click on the name of the shape to bring up the menu that contains Properties. Click on Properties in the menu: a property window comes up. In the property window, you can click on the material previews to change the materials of the stroke and fill; try out solid colours but also gradients and patterns. The width of the line can be changed too, and also its style; bigger lines for bigger stars, and see how a dotted line looks. | |
