Wayne Helliwell Racing is striving to become the market leader in short oval race car fabrication.

We can fabricate anything for any oval race car, from a single wheel nut to a full turn key race car at a surprisingly affordable price.
Other things we fabricate are bespoke trailers, race transporters to your specification or ours.

We supply many of BriSCA F1 drivers with our wheels including the World Champion Andrew Smith who has the WHR decal on his wing.

Wayne has been involved in stockcar racing all his life, you could say he was born into it! His dad Dave was racing BriSCA F1 stockcars in the early 1970’s. Both Wayne’s brothers Mark and Ian have raced various formulas, Mark (170) is still actively racing BriSCA F1.

Wayne raced mini stox from the tender age of 10 until 16 then he progressed onto Formula two stockcars.

When he left school Wayne served as an apprentice in the aerospace industry and then had 12 years setting and programming CNC machines for a precision engineering firm. Wayne then enjoyed 3 years working for a local firm fabricating and welding A-bars, tow poles and trailers used by the R.A.C & AA. Unfortunately he was made redundant as a result of a down turn in orders due to the recession and the decision was made to turn his hobby (WHR) in to his full time employment.
