In this tutorial i'm going to explain different ways to make a nice animated text.

Text animation that fade away.[top]
1 Open a new document (i took 200x100).
2 Get a background, it makes the text look better.
3 Type the text you want.

4 Copy the text layer, and change opacity to 0%

5 Open imageready by clicking the following button:

6 Press Window --> Animation to show the Animation screen.
7 Press "Duplicates current frame".

8 Now click Window --> Layers.
9 Select frame 2 at the animation screen.
10 Click on the eye from you'r original text layer so that it dissapair.

11 Click on tween:

12 Use the following settings:

13 Press the last frame (22)
14 Now make the other eye visible and the other not.

15 Tween again with the same settings and you'r done.
16 Press the button below to save your work:

Text animation with gradient tool.[top]
1 Open a new document (i took 200x100).
2 Get a background, it makes the text look better.
3 Type the text you want.

4 Make a new layer and add a black/white gradient, see picture below.

5 Add the gradient in the middle like this:

6 Now press ctrl+g or alt+ctrl+g if you have photoshop cs2(the layer with the gradient is now behind the text).
7 Take the layer with the gradient to the left so that your text isn't white.

8 Open imageready by clicking the following button:

9 Press Window --> Animation to show the Animation screen.
10 Press "Duplicates current frame".

11 Now click Window --> Layers.
12 Take the gradient layer to the right site.

13 Now click tween in the animation screen.

14 Use the following settings:

15 Now you'r done, press the button below to save your work:

Text animation with twirl.[top]
1 Open a new document (i took 200x100).
2 Get a background, it makes the text look better.
3 Type the text you want.

4 Rasterize your text layer.
5 Copy the text layer.
6 Now we'r going to add a twirl filter on it (Filter-->Distort-->Twirl).
7 Use an angel of 999.

8 Now copy the original text layer again, use the same filter but now with 899.
9 Do this also with an angel of 799, 699, 599, 499, 399, 299, 199, 99, 49.
10 You should now have the following layers:

11 Now press right click on the eye next to the background layer and click "Show/Hide all other layers".

12 You only see now your background.
13 Open imageready by clicking the following button:

14 Press Window --> Animation to show the Animation screen.
15 Press "Duplicates current frame".

16 Now click Window --> Layers.
17 Select the second frame in the animation screen.
18 Press the eye by 999 in the frame screen:

19 Make sure frame 2 is still selected and press "Duplicates current frame".
20 Now remove the eye by 999, and turn it on by 899.
21 Do this till your orginal text layer, you should now have 13 frames.

22 Click on frame 13 and set the delay to 2.0 sec.

22 Now you'r done, press the button below to save your work:
