    The vanderbild tender is uncoupeled and the engine on the back. This engine suffers a lot of quartering problems and mine even had a gear shear. The service of Aristo is outstanding though. Aristo supplied parts with no costs. There is no exploded view supplied. I have made this log to provide the necessary data to disassemble this engine.

    New gear box

    Quartering problem. this set of drivers is loose on the axle.Drive rod downwards.

    Drive rod upwards

    Remove these screws that retain the back motor block

    Pull up the block after removing the screws.

    Remove this plug

    Same for the front block

    Remove these two plugs.

    Remove the pilot truck.

    The bold are tightened with red or Blue Loctite. Make sure not to put too much pressure on the bold. Warm them up with a soldiering iron. Remove the bold of the drive rod.

    Use suiteable tools.

    Remove this screw at the end of the motor block.

    Remove the Gitter.

    Remove the screws of the cylinders

    Carefully remove the brakes

    Now you can separate the cylinders and drive rods from the gear box.

    Remove these srews.

    With all srews removed you can lift up the box that retains de 4 gearboxes. Carefully lift up the gearbox most far from the motor and start pulling out the gear boxes. Carefull lift up the last one.

    The next pictures show the damamge at the gear box.

    Careful. The screwdriver points to the ball that sits in the bearing. This is easily lost and is needed for contact purposes.

    Reassemble the drive.

    Put the hex in the axle

    Turn the motor axle until the axles are lined. Then tighten the srews in the wheels and quarter them.

    Remove these srews.
