Welcome at my internetsite, which contains background information about the Simca-assembly in the Netherlands. This site is made for enjoyment, there are no commercial motifs.

I am a carenthusiast and my special field of interest is the brand Simca. As it often goes, this interest arose because my parents drove one. They owned a Simca 1000, and later the 1100 and the Horizon. Later, I discovered the types Simca made before. The brand hasn't got the legendary reputation of Ferrari or Jaguar and will never achieve it, but it has it's own charm, and a very interesting history. I think it is really worthwhile.

When I discovered that the Simca assembly has also taken place in the Netherlands, I started to collect information about it. The search for information wasn't easy, because the brand doesn't exist anymore, the network has disappeared and the archives are closed. I would like to thank everyone who has helped me by providing hints, information and photos.

Making this site seemed a good opportunity to inform other people who want to know more about the subject. When you know something about the subject, or even have pictures, I shall be glad to hear of it.

Since 2002 I make the clubmagazine of the Simca Automobielclub Nederland, together with my girlfriend Sandra. You can find more info about the magazine on a specific website.

Enjoy your visit!
