Right Anterior Oblique view

Shown here are schematics of the right anterior oblique view of the coronary

arteries and the myocardial segments that they supply. Note that in most individuals

the right coronary artery supplies the inferior left ventricular wall through a vessel

called the posterior descending artery (PDA). These individuals are identified

as right dominant and represent approximately 65% of the general population.

When the PDA is supplied by the left coronary artery, the individual is identified

as left dominant (25% of the population). When the inferior wall is supplied

partially by both right and left coronary arteries the individuals coronary pattern is

identified as "co-dominant".
