Start Google Earth and visit the place where you like to stay and get as close as possible to the area where you like to book a hotel and check the the little red beds to see details of this hotels, if you find your hotel which fit your needs in price and quality, write down the information of this hotel and contact your travelagency to book or book this hotel by yourself.
This is a very easy and quick way to find the right hotel.
Do I need to pay tips in Europe, yes or no ?
In most parts of Europe are no duty of pay tips except if some one do something very special for you.If you take an organize excursion, the prices are quit high so their is no need for a tip.But sometimes if we take a tour bus and the driver just do the extra mile, we go around with a cap and collect. In Europe it's not because the money but more about the compliment you make to the driver.Well, how much the tip depending on how many people enjoy, for example if you go with about 20 people then 1 Euro p.p. should be enough but again you don't need to pay tips and no one will blame you. The same in restaurant's no tips needed. On board of the ship is another story, first of all you pay already $10 p.p. p.d.so it's included but here the salary of most crew members are very low and a little tip will make them happy. You don't need to pay the whole day tips but just only in some moments if they do some extra for you or if you like some one
Excursion should I do it ?
With Google Earth you can find out many information about the ports you going to visit. Before your cruise start it's good to take a look with Google Earth and zoom in the ports of visit, many times you will see that in fact you don't need to book for excusion because the distance are so little that you just want and can walk easy. It's different if you wish to visit a place more deeper inland, but keep in mind that you have a time limit and you have to be back atleast one hour before the ship leave the port, calculate then how much time left for the visit and will this be a rush or easy trip before you book and spend much money for such excursion.Take it easy and relax and not some rush excursion just because you can say I was there, than you will not see anything.

Planning a cruise.
If you planning a cruise and you have a long flight ahead, it will be a good idea to go a few day's earlier and take first a hotel in a nice place you like to visit. This can be done without high cost if you check the hotel by yourself (see How to find a good hotel which fits your need.). For example, we planning a cruise which start in the port of Rome (Civitavecchia) we go a few days earlier and book a hotel in the centre of Rome just 100 meter from the railroad station Roma Termini and on walking distance of the Colosseum area. The cost of the ***hotel in July is 43 Euro p.p. incl. breakfast. We check this hotel and find very good reviews. This way we don't need to spend a lot of money for excursion and you can discover Rome by yourself. The day of the cruise you just take the train from Roma Termini to Civitavecchia ( see on this homepage Train schedules for travel around Rome ).
This way your journey start relax and without jet lack.
Cruise outside high season
The most cheapest way of cruising is outside the high season, the prices drops sometimes with 50% from september until june. There are many offers you can see on this page just around you, just take time and look around and searching for the best cruise of you choice and make your planning.

Travel with cash money be careful for pickpocket.
During your travel be very careful carry cash money in your pockets, even you belief you carry the money so well and keep it in a tight jeans pocket with a long short to cover, belief me thief's know all the tricks to get it out of your pocket even without the use of there hands, today they have special equipment to rip you off your money. The best is if you need to carry much cash, keep the most in a safe box of the hotel and just carry enough for the day divided in two pockets where you use a safety pin to seal the pocket with the most value . The same for your luggage if you travel by train and you have to keep your luggage out of your compartment seal all your luggage together with a cable lock that makes it for thief's almost impossible to grab the luggage out of the train.

Dressing code onboard cruise ships
How to dress onboard a cruise ship during dinner depend also on the cruise line, but normal you have formal nights and casual nights. Formal night's means by dinner man have to dress a suit or tuxedo and woman evening dressing, formal nights most time will be on a day on sea. Casual night's means by dinner man and woman can dress easy no need for a suit but it is not allow to carry swim or sports clothes. Freestyle means there are no formal nights for dinners onboard so you don't need to carry a suit or tuxedo. If you don't want to bring your own suit or tuxedo on most ships you can rent a tuxedo. By formal nights please keep the rules because it will be not nice for other guest who special want to enjoy they romantic and formal dinner and keep in mind a cruise ship is not a holiday park.
Food onboard a cruise ship
Onboard cruise ships you will find many different kind of food because many guests coming from different places of the world, therefore you will find many food you will like, it can be one day you order some food you never eat before because you want to try it, if you don't like the food you order then be fair and not blame the cook but just order a new dish you know.
Be gentle and polite onboard cruise ships
To get the best service and communication be always polite and gentle, stay calm and be reasonably then all doors will open for you. Trade crewmembers with respect and give sometimes a compliment that will help them with motivation (everybody needs sometimes a compliment). If you like to say thanks to Crewmembers then don't forget them on the end and fill the special cards where you can mention there names and make some compliments for the special they did for you because it's very important for they career. On the last day of your cruise they will send you such a card to your cabin but if you like more you can apply this cards at the Front Office. Be always aware you stay on a cruise ship with many other guests who like to enjoy the cruise, be polite and gentle not only to crewmembers but also to others because only this way your cruise will be successful.
