My name is Dirk and I live in the northern part of The Netherlands,
in a town called Franeker in the province Friesland.
I started with the radiohobby in the early 80’s on 27mc, my first rig
was a Skyline 2008 ½ Watt with 22 channels and mobile antenna DV27.
After a few months I experienced DX, the next rig was a Superstar 2000
and gpa27.
I had common radio’s these years like HamConcorde3 and an old
Yaesu FT-101zd.
Finally end up with a brand new TS-140s, a very nice radio but a waste
to use it just on 11meters and I was afraid that the RCD would catch me
and take the rig.
So I decided in 1989 to start with the study to become a HAM.
I got my C-licence in April 1991 with the callsign PE1OAV.
My goal is HF so I started learning the code immediate after I past the exam.
In December 1992 I succeed the CW exam and got the callsign PA3GHP.
Januari 1999 there was the opportunity to change your callsign which I did
and since then I am PA9KW.
In Januari 2006 I changed my callsign in PA2C .
