Quirks and Features

This is a PlayStation (PS1) sim, so the sounds and graphics are a bit rough.
The Panoz Q9, Porsche 993T, Saleen Mustang, and others can be seen in competition, but they don't seem to be prize cars anywhere.

Includes a few cars and tracks that aren't found in most other racing sims.
No duplicate prize cars (always awarded a car that you don't already have).
Carbon Copy allows you to buy cars from other memory cards.

Standard Races

Gameplay starts by buying a car for the GTQ season (see the miscellaneous notes below for a tip on how to get your first car for a cheaper price). Finishing 3rd or better overall in the GTQ season will unlock the GT3 season. 3rd or better in the GT3 season will unlock the GT2 season, and so on. If you finish 1st place overall in any of these seasons, you'll win a bonus car from the Car Shop. The bonus car will be of the same class as the season you entered.

In the list below, the number in parentheses is the duration (in laps). The number may be followed by 'n' meaning Night or 'w' meaning Wet.

Supreme Challenge Invitational Races

If you finish 1st place overall in a GTQ or GT2 season, you'll be invited to a special event (a single 3-lap Supreme Challenge Invitational race) where you'll go up against a car that's one class better. If you win that race, you'll win that car. There is, however, an entry fee of $10,000 for a GTQ Invitational or $70,000 for a GT2 Invitational, so keep that in mind before spending too much on cars or upgrades. Also keep in mind that the Invitationals are single races (not series), so you'll have to win the GTQ and GT2 seasons multiple times if you want all the cars.

Miscellaneous

Use the Carbon Copy feature to get cheaper cars and upgrades. You'll need 2 memory cards for this:
1. Remove MC1, and insert MC2 in Slot1,
2. Buy a car (upgrade it if necessary), and save the game,
3. Move MC2 to Slot2, insert MC1 in Slot1, and reload the game,
4. Before buying a car that you already have, make sure you sell the one you have first; otherwise, you'll lose the money previously spent,
5. Go to Car Shop, and scroll down to Carbon Copy,
6. Scroll left/right to find the car you want, and buy it.
As far as I can tell, you only really need to buy 2 cars: a GTQ car to start off with, and a GT2 car when you finish the GT3 season. All other cars can be won.
If you're about to win a new car, make sure you don't already have them all. For example: If you're about to win a GTQ season and you already have all of the GTQ cars, make sure you sell one of them before finishing the season. If you also already have all 3 of the special GT3 bonus cars, make sure you sell one of those too before finishing the GTQ season. For maximum gain, sell the most expensive ones; you'll get them back after you win the season and the Invitational.
There is no Invitational for winning all the races of a GT3 season; apparently there aren't any special GT2 cars that can't be bought from the Car Shop.
Finishing 1st place overall in the GT1 season unlocks the Paris GT1 season. Winning the GT1 season a second time doesn't unlock anything else.
Finishing 1st place overall in the Paris GT1 season unlocks a credits video. Winning the Paris GT1 season a second time doesn't unlock anything else.
