Quirks and Features

The Bad
  • Logitech Driving Force works, but only when plugged into USB port 2.
  • The Challenges have to be done in order (i.e., #1 unlocks #2, #2 unlocks #3, and so on). Since these mini-championships are so time-consuming, it would've been nice to be able to choose which ones to do first and which ones to do later.
The Good
  • 3 levels of difficulty (Amateur, Professional, Legend).
  • Includes a few cars and tracks that aren't commonly found in most other racing sims.
  • Up to 5 careers can be stored on a memory card.
  • Random weather conditions, and some semi-night racing.

Events

Career Mode

This mode is much like the Career mode in Le Mans 24 Hours. You start your career by accepting an offer from one of two GT teams (Noble or Audi). After finishing the GT season, you'll get offers to drive GTS cars (along with offers to drive GT cars). And, after finishing a GTS season, you'll get offers to drive Prototype cars (along with offers to drive GTS or GT cars). The better your final results are, the better the offers will be.

For championship seasons, the number of races and the number of laps per race depends on the class of car you choose to drive and the chosen difficulty level:

Challenge Mode

If you're new to Total Immersion Racing, it's probably a good idea to start in Challenge mode instead of Single Race, Career, or Time Trial mode. This mode gives you the opportunity to learn the cars and tracks.
