Every year a group of Ham's getting a bit of fever when the calender shows that April is comming
I also . In This month i travel to the German island of Borkum (eu-047) that will alway's in the week of the 25th
we arriving on Thurstday morning and trhan driving to the little electric lighthouse at the west side of
Island. And soon we gettting started to put up several stations that will be qrv. Most stations are useing the
call DL0KBM or if needed our own call

this call wil be on the air from thustday till frigday midnight after that we will be airing the Call DA0IMD
and we will than on all bands on the air.
that all till sunday morning.By sunday morning we start to take down all our equipment and put
it back in to the cars that brought it to the islands :-)

Why we make all that exausting work ? well we are celebraiting the First
comercial radio transmitting between the light ship borkumriff and the little lighthouse
a nice fact that is comming to it that is that on the 25th also
Guilermo Marconi is born so we can also celebraiting his birthday to

Thann after his experiments with wirles radio transmision's we wur able to get our hobby
started

This year i was testing my mobile antenne system for 2 meters a 4 x5 elem
the testing wur Good thge SWR was less than 1:1,2 is a good thing i would say
But due to less activity and a bit low condix we din'd get a qso in the log
Lets hope we will be having more succes next time till than i will making more mod's to the system
like the vertical pipes ( now made from plastic ) in to aluminium pipes and all the distances
Between the antennas in to the correct once
