Hello

Let me introduce myself.

My name is Paul Mestrom.

I am a chemical engineer, born in may 1950,

working as a chemistry teacher at high school (highest levels of 15-18 year old students).

I am married and have two children and three grandchildren..

I collect minerals for over 40 years, and have a collection of over 2100 different minerals in many more pieces.
Most minerals are own findings or obtained by exchange/swapping with other collectors.

So far I did most of my field collecting in Germany (mainly in the volcanic Eifel-region and the Black Forest), Switzerland (mainly Binn-valley, e.g Lengenbach quarry and Wanni-Cherbadung-region) and Italy (among others Pereta, Viterbo region and Vesuvius).

Most of my minerals are micro mounts and thumbnails, not because I do not like bigger ones, but it is hard to find them yourself. I prefer minerals with xls that can be seen well, as big as possible, as small as can be seen well when enlarged up to 30x under microscope.

My exchange stock (unfortunately the lists are not always up to date!) can be seen on my homepage:  http://members.home.nl/pmestrom

If, after checking my lists and my pictures, you are interested in exchanging minerals, please contact me at  pmestrom@home.nl
