============================================================================ This is the script for the spoken text in my butt jointing tutorial video on http://www.youtube.com/ninjatoespapercraft ============================================================================ <<01>> Welcome back. You are watching Ninjatoes's butt joint tutorial. <<02>> With normal glue tabs, you will get a ridge where you glue one piece of paper over the other, because of the thickness of the paper. <<03>> "Butt jointing" is a simple technique to avoid those ridges. <<04>> Parts that are to be "butt jointed" together do not have glue tabs themselves. <<05>> Instead, a seperate strip of paper acts as a seperate glue tab. <<06>> That way, you can glue one part halfway on the glue tab... <<07>> ...and the other part on the other half, "butting" the edges together. <<08>> That way, the seam between the two parts will be flat and there will be no ridge. <<09>> Like edge coloring, it is a lot of extra work, and it can be very difficult to do on small parts or complex shapes. <<10>> That is why it is most often used on airplane fuselages, or space rockets. <<11>> Thank you for watching this video. <<12>> Please visit my website at ninjatoes.blogspot.com <<13>> Have fun building!
