Algerian Express
The second vessel of the A-class that was taken-over was M.V. Algerian Express. This vessel was also the second vessel built by the Mitsubishi Heavy Industry Shipyard at Nagasaki in Japan for account of Avin Liners. In 1978 this vessel, yard number 1819, was delivered by the shipyard as Kriti Pearl. Avin Liners sailed with the vessel in their own liner services until August 1989 when the Vroon Group took-over the vessel and renamed her Algerian Express. For same reason as her sister vessels, also this vessel was sold to India Steamship in Calcutta. In January 1990 the vessel changed name into lndian Resolve and was employed in their services. In 1993 the vessel was sold again together with her sister vessels to a Maltese company and was renamed Norbulk Seraya.
