Hi

Let me introduce myself

I'm a very sweet Tervueren bitch

The day I saw the first daylight was 23-12-1990

My parents are Elan's Kimm~Ava de la gamine and Cora du Bois 'd Berger

I live in the South of the Netherlands, my owner is Ilse Kuiper

I love to work, specially Fly Ball and obedience , I did some agility too, but agility in

combination with obedience is not such a good idea

Below you can find some photo's from me and my parents.

Elan's Kimm Ava de la Gamine X Cora du Bois'd Berger

Below you see me as a puppy

In the age up to  6 month's

on some together with my human friend, my father and my friend the cat

In and by the sea I love to run and play

Me, just standing, something I don't like....

But sometimes you must listen to your boss.....

And a photo from me with my son Aequitas

Than some photo's from my hobbies

Obedience and Fly Ball

In March 2002 I became ill, but they couldn't find what was wrong with me.

After a lot of research and a CT scan they found the reason I was so ill.....

I have a pancreas carcinoma, and they told my owner I had not much time left,

She started to give me chemo therapy, every 3 weeks a new one

and now 15 weeks later, I like to play again,

Love eating and do some nice things....

I won't be better but I hope to play and eat for a long time

Below some photo's from my early illness till now

Now some photo's between my 3rd chemo and the 5th

You can see here that I feel happy again,

Together with my dad Elan

my weight is now 24.5 kilo, If I wasn't ill I'm sure I was on a diet now

After my 6th chemo, we wait to see watt's happening,

6 weeks later my blood results where not good, my gall acids where much to high

we decide to start with a other kind off chemo

In the beginning we give  carboplatin and now we are trying gemcitabine,

this last one works specific on the pancreas carcinoma with humans

My vet's says I be a wonder because it seems I be the first who lives so long with this kind off cancer .

they don't know watt my prognoses are because I be the first one...

The photo below is made at the end off August,

and a photo from a hole in my leg, but it seems specific for pancreas carcinoma

I didn't feel that good, but still want to play with the ball

At the 1ste off October we where to the oncologist

He lives near the see, so we decide to go the beach

I love that so much, and because you never know when my time is over,

I have to enjoy it and not wait till it's to late !!!

See me with my weight from 27 kilo...now I'm on a diet

I'm very happy that I can tell you I celebrated my 12 birthday,

nobody expect me to do....

Than I can tell that there is made a new CT Scan last January, and the results where amazing

they couldn't find any cancer,

the cancer was in my pancreas, gall-bladder and my duodenum,

only we will never know if it was started in my pancreas or gall-bladder

so very carefully they told me that I was recovered...

Only since this week I start throw up again after I eat,

okay they told me not to worry, because they can't find any cancer,

but with those symptones it all started last year

time will give us wisdom

Me on my birthday, with my little present

After my 13th birthday, at the 23 December 2003,

they found a little mámmae tumor,

Strong as I am, I didn't react on it,

at the beginning of April, I got ill...

there was a virus in the neighborhood, lots of dogs had trouble with they're stomach.

The other bitch here in the house called Dipsey, I never liked her that much,

she was so sweet for me. She protect me against all,

No one or nobody could come near me, even the vet Robin couldn't.

Dipsey has protect me till the 11th April.

Below some sad news....

a ode to the most precious dog in my life

ERICA’S DIZZLE van MAUPERTUUS

23-12-1990 – 12-04-2004

Our miracle “Dizzle” has lost the fight

Dizzle was the last girl left out the 1st litter from our Elan

That way she came to live with us,

and soon I found out that this little lady wanted to do everything for me

As very smart youngster she skipped a view classes obedience,

to go straight into the examination class.

Agility was fun, but not a success in combination with obedience

Dizzle loved playing with the ball, so we started with Fly-ball

At the Fly-ball matches she started always as last one, so she could make us the winning team.

Her little presents to me where bruised fingers and black spots……

She was our first dog who gave us wonderful puppies

Each one of them had Dizzle’s wonderful character, and her big ears.

That our Dizzle was a miracle, appeared in 2002

Dizzle was very good in surprising everyone

All of a sudden Dizzle became ill, it was cancer

In her pancreas and gallbladder, they give her a few weeks to live

It had to be very special weeks, weeks to remember,

that’s why we started with the chemo therapy

She wanted to live so much that she beaded the cancer,

beautiful weeks became beautiful years

At the end of December 2003 there was a little tubercle under her abdomen

This little tubercle grew faster as weed, weed you can destroy, not this little tubercle

At the 2nd off April, a virus  attacks her weak body, but she was fighting

The cancer could spread in no time, …. There was no way that Dizzle’s body could stop this,

was she loosing this ? No Dizzle wanted to live so hard….

till the 11 April, a terrible inflammation in her throat

made that she couldn’t do her favorite hobby “eating “

Dizzle ….. so tired, she was so terrible tired from fighting

but still you fight till the end at the 12th April 10.00am

Disje our miracle

there is no dog who can come up to you

Even you are not tangible with us

You are still with me !!!

Ilse

Dear Dizzle I will always love you, you will be always in my hart,

and I know there is a day that we meet again,

Dizzle has still her own guest book,

I like it if you want to write her a little note, just to remember her

Remembering the most wonderful dog in my life, and a miracle for the veterinary medicine.
