Let me tell something about me........

I'm Elan, or friends call me... eeetje, or lannie,

but I prefer Elan, It sounds more like me........

It means fire, and that's watt I just to be in my young days....

I didn't like other male dogs, and they always wanted to try me out..

the only one who liked that was the Vet,

because that was the place where the other male  going to

But okay I was introduce myself.......

I was born in Nootdorp a little place near by the Hague on the 6th February 1989

It was a litter of 11 puppies,  I don't have to tell you that I was the sweetest.

In my young days I liked to show, and I have won a several times,

they ask if I wanted to mate a nice girl,

Cora du Bois 'd Berger she gave birth to 11 puppies,

and one off those is living here with me, It's Dizzle.

The second bitch for me was Gabriella the la Gamine ,

she also gave birth to 11 puppies

6 till 12 weeks

Here I try to be a good IPO dog

training 3 times a week  was a lot of work,

and one photo training for GG.1, Behavior and obedience

Now some show photo's,

I liked showing,

 the last photo is made two years ago, it was my last show,

okay it was a clubmatch, I was Best Male, Best of breed, Best Veteran, Best dog group 1,

and 9th Best in Show.

Not bad for a dog my age

Now it is play time

Together with Benji, Sprietzie, Dizzle, My grandson Quintas

My human friend, and my son Ajax

Than the time will come that you get older,

and you've got some problems with your healthiness, so did I

at the end of 2001 I've got problems with my prostate, so I was castrated,

normally it is a little operation but not in my case, I've got a terrible inflammation and became very sick

but with a special antibiotic I recovered but not for long,

I had also problems with my stomach, but Dizzle was the one who was very ill so she had the priority,

and later I had a endoscopies, fortunately  there was no cancer, but a very bad gastritis,

I got a lot off medicine, and lost a lot off weight, 

the internist did a new endoscopies and made a echo from my abdomen also a photo from my hart

the results, My stomach looks and is a lot better,

After all this my legs didn't want anymore,

I couldn't walk, but even I couldn't walk I still wanted to play with the ball

So the last hope was acupuncture,

Now I can walk a little and even stand up when I want to do

You see I became a old dog,

But still like to play in the water, and I had a little rest, so my owner was talking about the old days

Those photo's where made on 28-August-2002 two days before my legs didn't want anymore

 When Dizzle had to visit the oncologe we went to the beach, I liked it, you can see the way I walk

But don't laugh at me

    Than if you think I had it all, I totally loosing my coat,

it's a part off the medication I have for my stomach

it was really cold, so my owner buy me a jacket, The photo is made on 10-Decembre-2002

At the age from 14 years still wants to swim a little

and when I've got home I needed to rest, my daughter Dizzle is watching over me

fortuneless there is a beginning and a end to all watt is special and beautiful.

No one had thought that our Elan become such a beautiful age,

on the photo Elan is 15.5 year old

 

We found Elan in the early morning from Saturday 21- 08-2004 very sick in our livingroom.

I had never thought that the "end" could come so fast, but it happens.

Every minute Elan became more and more sick, we where waiting for the Vet,

but at that moment, every second feels like a hour,

and I thought that if the Vet was not come soon, he hasn't to come at all.

At the left photo Elan is 15.5 year, he looks like a king,

and the photo at the right is made 10 days before he died

06-02-1989 - 21-08-2004

Saturday morning 21-08-'04 our Elan was suddenly in a bad condition.

In the night from Friday on Saturday he got terrible diarrhoea and had thrown up.

Later on Saturday morning, breathing was very hard for him.

It was so bad he could not do anything.

Dizzle must have called you,

because all his will to live was gone.

So badly gone that we put you to sleep at 21-08-04 at 13.30.

Without one look, without any fight.

Before the definitive shot has done his work

you had left us.

On your way to your daughter, your shadow,

the two of you where a couple for more than 13 years.

The separation off Dizzle was very hard for you.

Now 4 month’s later the two of you are together again.

Dear Elan take care off Dizzle

Be happy together.

Elan; we will miss you and you strong personality very much.
