Speex is a free, open source, multi-platform, speech codec. It's a console program and many Windows users don't like to work in the console (DOS-box). That's why I made Speex frontend. The frontend makes a batch file for speexenc.exe or speexdec.exe and executes it. You need the Speex binaries to do the actual coding. They are not included with the frontend.
BTW: although my name (Speek) resembles the name of the encoder (Speex) I have nothing to do with it other then that I made the frontend.
