Monique Somers has been presenting the weather on national Dutch television during the 90's, starting with a screentest in 1993 until july 1, 1998. During that six year period, she became one of the most popular weatherpresenters on radio and television.

Until november 5, 2007, Monique Somers worked as a press officer at the Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute (KNMI) in De Bilt, The Netherlands while she still appeared on television every now and then.

Monique now works as a senior communication advisor at Rijkswaterstaat in Lelystad, The Netherlands.
