They say memories are golden, well, maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,I only wanted you.
A million times I cried,
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place no one else could fill.
If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane.
I'd walk the path to Heaven and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us back one by one, the chain will link again
Wesley did feel sick but I noticed something was wrong,
so I took him to the veterinarian and they made an echo and bloodsample.
The results were shocking....the kidney bloodlevels were so high he had to undergo
a transfusion to clean the kidneys. 3 days later another bloodsample was taken but it looked bad.
The bloodlevels didn't dropped, but even got higher. The vet had no hope for him and gave him just
a couple more days to live. We decided to take him home and let him enjoy his last days.
Instead of getting sicker, he got better and stronger every day. After 2 weeks we went back
to the vet and we did another bloodsample because the vet was so surpriced to see him this active
and lifely. The kidney-levels were dropped by at least half but his bloodpressure stayed very low.
The vet believed this was caused by the blader-stone they found on the echo which might contain bacteria
and this caused an infection to his kidneys. Together with the vet we decided to have him operated
to get this kidney-stone out. Operation went fine and it looked like he was doing very well.
2 days later I saw that he didn't feel so good but as always was happy to join me on my work
We even took a short walk outside. There has been no sign what so ever that this day was going to be his last.
And half hour later it happened.....I was away for a few minutes and when I got back I saw him liying down,
I knelt down beside him and in my arms he took his last breath!
Later I talked to the vet and he was shocked by hearing this news. Maybe the operation was to much after all.
Maybe he got a complication we never noticed.
We will never know what really happened, we can only guess
It is good to know that in these last 3 weeks he wasn't sick and hardly had any pain
He enjoyed every single moment of the day in these last weeks, his daily walks, lying in the sun
One thing we know for sure......WE WIL MISS HIM VERY MUCH!!
Sweet dreams dear Wes and remember....one day we will meet again....at the other side of the rainbowbrigde
