The Donkervoort D8 GT in production

From an official press-release, Donkervoort Automobielen let us know that the production of the new developed coupe, the D8 GT, has started. The first cars are planned to be delivered to customers in august this year.

The GT uses a lot of carbon fiber parts, which results in doors and a roof that both are lighter than the original cabriolet doors and roof, made out of fabric. The total weight of the GT will not exceed 650 kgs. and that makes it the worlds lightest GT! That also gives a new view on the CO2-problem, according to the press-release. The GT will endure the strongest emisson tests.

The shop is up to date again. Two brochures and a postcard are new in stock and some other products which are sold out, are removed. The new items are really rare ones!

21 december 2007 - Donkervoort news:
Donkervoort has been invited by the FIA to join the new FIA GT4-light championship in 2008. The GT4-light series are to participate with lightweighted racing cars, starting at 750kg. The amount of produced streetcars is not limited, which is a very interesting point for small manufacturers like Donkervoort. Participation is possible for both factory team and private teams.

Temporary schedule for 2008:
20 april: Silverstone, England
18 mei: Monza, Italy
6 juli: Oschersleben, Germany
3 augustus: Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
14 september: Brno, Czech Republic
5 oktober: Nogaro, France

The D8GT will be first be tested in february.

03 june 2007 - Donkervoort Automobilia news:
It took a while, but now a new Donkervoort D10 page is online! It is a dedicated page within Donkervoort Automobilia.nl and shows now eight out of ten produced Donkervoorts D10.

06 may 2007 - Shopnews:
There's a new item in stock. A full metal pin (emaille in Dutch, I believe) of the Donkervoort D8 Sport. Got only two available in black, so if you want one be quick! They are rare. SOLD OUT

From today, Dutch costumers do not get shipping costs added anymore. You just pay the price of the item like it's mentioned in the shop. For other countries you only pay the difference between the Dutch and international shippingcosts.

19 february 2007 – For the first time in almost 30 years of our company history, we will introduce an all new, closed sports car. Although the new Donkervoort is based on the current D8 version, the D8 GT embodies a number of new high-tech features. The important and world famous Geneva Motorshow is chosen as the scene for the introduction of the car, that will set a new tone in the segment of ultra light sports cars. If you have any information, pictures or something else about a Donkervoort D10, you can help me building the webpage. The most I'm looking for info about D10's in the colours green, yellow and blue (no I'm not kidding).

Lelystad, 21 december 2006 - For the first time in almost 30 years of Donkervoort history, the company will introduce a closed sportscar. The Donkervoort D8 GT will make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in march 2007. More information from the company will follow in january 2007.
