The JW_Record_Play_Edit_Films application can Record, Play and Edit Films of desktop sessions. In the combined Wxwindows, Python, pyvnc2swf implementation (under Linux) the Wxwindows GUI is used, while in the background a pyvnc2swf process is used).

The JW_Record_Play_Edit_Films contains buttons for Load, Play, Record, Save_As and Edit of films.

The Play button starts the playback of a film.
Possible there will be a film of JW_Record_Play_Edit_Films.
The example sequence that can be used to understand the basics of the application.
Load a film by pressing the button LOAD; the standard film out.swf can be chosen.
Play the film by pressing the button PLAY; de playing of the film can be stopped by pressing the escape key on the keyboard.
Prepare Recording a film by first starting a VNC_server by pressing the Start_VNC_Server button; check if a VNC_server is not already running (by checking what log-file has been started) and change the Host Name and Host Number according the name of the log-file started (the values of both these fields are used for the next step) and press the Activate_Parameters button
Prepare Recording a film by starting a VNC_CLient by pressing the Start_VNC_Client button; when the VNC_CLient starts possibly a password has to be entered depending on the privilege settings.
Record a film by pressing the RECORD button; in the small dialog shown, the Start button must be pressed (optionally followed by entering the password); then the session can be recorded in the VNC_Client window; in the small dialog shown, the Stop button can be pressed for stopping the recording; when closing the small dialog box by pressing the cross on the upper right corner, the film is saved as out.swf, and a corresponding html-file is saved.
Save the film with a new name by pressing the Save_as button
Optionally Sound can be recorded (see the HELP button)
Optionally the film can be edited (see the HELP button)
Always be sure to press the Activate_Parameters button for saving field values before pressing buttons
The film name field is always filled after loading a film and the Activate_Parameters button has no effect on this field
If you like the header, it can be found here.
If you're using firefox, put your cursor over the logo. But for some reason IE doesn't like image rollover effects. Its not that big of a deal.
