A Business Case can easily put Costs (investments in templates) against Benefits (speed of development). Because our speciality is the creation of templates, that are model-independent, the benefits will be greater for bigger datamodels.
We generate plain text files. This implies, that all kinds of templates (Word, Html, Xml, Php, etc.) are possible. Usually solutions will be combinations of several templates, combined for specific projects.
Generated solutions will be menu-driven applications. The direct consequence of this is that developers can make templates and users can make products by re-generating the solutions over the range of the available data-models.
In fact we are continuously Creating Software factory lines. Examples are converted into templates. Templates are tested until they can be used to create robust products.

Examples of Software factory lines.

An Excel sheet with adresses has to be converted into an XML-file. The Excel sheet is converted into a CSV-file. The CSV-file then is used as the basis for the XML-template. When the process of Excel-XML conversion is created and tested (which should take 1-2 hours), the template can be used to process Excel sheets of any length with adresses into an XML-file.
When a data-model independent application template has been created, this template is usually tested with a small data-model with only a few entities. When the test has been successfull, the application can be generalized to use a datamodel with up to 500 Entities.
